Surah Al-Mulk 67:26
سُورَةُ المُلۡكِ · Meccan · Verse 26 of 30
قُلْ إِنَّمَا ٱلْعِلْمُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَإِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ نَذِيرٌۭ مُّبِينٌۭ
Translation
Say, ‘God alone has knowledge of this: my only duty is to give clear warning.’

Meaning and reflection
'Say: The knowledge is only with Allah, and I am only a clear warner.' Ibn Ashur notes the Prophet is told to refuse the question's premise entirely: the timing is not his to give, and it is not the point. His task, and the believer's, is not to hold the timetable but to deliver the truth plainly. al-Biqa'i stresses the humility: even the Messenger disclaims knowledge of the hour. Ask yourself: I get snagged on questions I was never meant to answer, exactly when, exactly how, and let them stall the response I can give. What if I let 'the knowledge is with Allah' settle the timing, and turned my energy to the one thing that is actually mine to do?
