Surah Al-Ankabut 29:6

سُورَةُ العَنكَبُوتِ · Meccan · Verse 6 of 69

وَمَن جَٰهَدَ فَإِنَّمَا يُجَٰهِدُ لِنَفْسِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَغَنِىٌّ عَنِ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ

Translation

Those who exert themselves do so for their own benefit––God does not need His creatures––
