سُورَةُ البَقَرَةِ · Medinan · Verse 114 of 286

وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن مَّنَعَ مَسَٰجِدَ ٱللَّهِ أَن يُذْكَرَ فِيهَا ٱسْمُهُۥ وَسَعَىٰ فِى خَرَابِهَآ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ مَا كَانَ لَهُمْ أَن يَدْخُلُوهَآ إِلَّا خَآئِفِينَ ۚ لَهُمْ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا خِزْىٌۭ وَلَهُمْ فِى ٱلْءَاخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌۭ

English: Who could be more wicked than those who prohibit the mention of God’s name in His places of worship and strive to have them deserted? Such people should not enter them without fear: there is disgrace for them in this world and painful punishment in the Hereafter.

Bengali: যে ব্যাক্তি আল্লাহর মসজিদসমূহে তাঁর নাম উচ্চারণ করতে বাধা দেয় এবং সেগুলোকে উজাড় করতে চেষ্টা করে, তার চাইতে বড় যালেম আর কে? এদের পক্ষে মসজিদসমূহে প্রবেশ করা বিধেয় নয়, অবশ্য ভীত-সন্ত্রস্ত অবস্থায়। ওদের জন্য ইহকালে লাঞ্ছনা এবং পরকালে কঠিন শাস্তি রয়েছে।
