فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Resting on the further Gardens, al-Saadi notes the refrain honours the sheer *scale* of what is offered — depth beyond depth of reward. Ask yourself: even the existence of *ranks* of reward is a mercy, because it means every extra step of effort, every higher reach of sincerity, is registered and matters — nothing good is wasted at a ceiling. Which favour will I deny by imagining my efforts all collapse into one undifferentiated outcome? The refrain keeps enlarging my sense of the generosity I'm dealing with: not a single prize, but tiers upon tiers, each responsive to how I lived.
