Surah Ar-Rahman 55:30
سُورَةُ الرَّحۡمَٰن · Medinan · Verse 30 of 78
فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
Translation
Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

Meaning and reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Here the refrain rests on the astonishing truth that He is always attending, that His engagement with creation never lapses. al-Saadi notes His constant care is itself the favour. Ask yourself: the fact that I am never, for a single instant, outside His attention, that my needs are registered continuously by One who never tires or turns away, is a mercy so total I forget it is even happening. Which of these will I deny? I would be devastated by a friend's neglect, yet I take for granted an attentiveness from my Lord that never once blinks. The refrain asks me to feel that constant care as the gift it is.
