English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' The refrain rests here on the ships — on travel, trade, and the whole human capacity to cross what should be impassable. al-Saadi notes the favour is that He *enabled* the crossing at all. Ask yourself: the ease with which I move through a world that should stop me — oceans, distances, obstacles — is so complete that I experience it as a right, not a gift. Which of these enablements will I deny by never thanking Him for them? The relentless refrain is teaching me a habit I lack: to interrupt my sense of entitlement, again and again, with the simple honest question, 'and Who made this possible?'
