فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?

Meaning & Reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Resting on the honoured, sheltered companions, al-Saadi notes the refrain keeps counting the gifts of dignity and belonging among the favours. Ask yourself: belonging — being kept, valued, sheltered rather than exposed and disposable — is a deep human need I rarely thank God for even when I have it. Which of these will I deny? The refrain keeps surfacing favours I overlook precisely because they are so fundamental: to be held, honoured, and safe. Even the wish for such belonging, so central to my heart, points to the One who alone can grant it fully and forever.
