فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ
English: Which, then, of your Lord’s blessings do you both deny?
Bengali: অতএব, তোমরা উভয়ে তোমাদের পালনকর্তার কোন কোন অবদানকে অস্বীকার করবে?
Meaning & Reflection
'So which of the favours of your Lord will you two deny?' Resting on the pure beauty just described, al-Saadi notes the refrain keeps insisting that beauty itself — here and hereafter — is a favour from the Merciful, not a neutral accident. Ask yourself: I encounter beauty constantly — a face, a landscape, a piece of art — and rarely trace it back to its Giver. Which of these will I deny by consuming beauty without gratitude, or worse, by letting it pull my heart away from the One who made it? The refrain trains me to receive every beauty as a message *from* Him rather than a rival *to* Him — a favour to be thanked for, and followed home.
