إِنِّىٓ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ مُّبِينٍ
English: Then I would clearly be in the wrong.
Bengali: এরূপ করলে আমি প্রকাশ্য পথভ্রষ্টতায় পতিত হব।
Meaning & Reflection
'Indeed, I would then be in clear error.' Notice the believer turns the same searching honesty on himself: to abandon the Real for the powerless would be — in his own judgment — obvious misguidance. al-Saadi highlights that he holds himself to the very standard he is calling his people to, refusing to exempt himself. Ask yourself: I am quick to see the error in others' choices and slow to name my own by the same measure. This man says plainly, 'if I did that, *I* would be clearly lost.' Do I judge my own compromises with the honesty I reserve for everyone else's — or do I keep a softer standard for myself?
