إِذْ أَرْسَلْنَآ إِلَيْهِمُ ٱثْنَيْنِ فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا فَعَزَّزْنَا بِثَالِثٍۢ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّآ إِلَيْكُم مُّرْسَلُونَ

English: We sent two messengers but they rejected both. Then We reinforced them with a third. They said, ‘Truly, we are messengers to you,’

Bengali: আমি তাদের নিকট দুজন রসূল প্রেরণ করেছিলাম, অতঃপর ওরা তাদেরকে মিথ্যা প্রতিপন্ন করল। তখন আমি তাদেরকে শক্তিশালী করলাম তৃতীয় একজনের মাধ্যমে। তারা সবাই বলল, আমরা তোমাদের প্রতি প্রেরিত হয়েছি।

Meaning & Reflection

'We sent them two, and they denied both, so We reinforced them with a third, and they said: We are messengers to you.' al-Biqa'i notes the deepest aim of the passage is to console the Prophet through shared hardship — and here is patient escalation: denied, the mission is not abandoned but strengthened. Ask yourself: my instinct when an effort is rebuffed is to quit — clearly it wasn't meant to be. This verse shows a different response to rejection: reinforce and persist. When something good in my life meets a wall, is my reflex to withdraw, or to strengthen my resolve and send it forward again?
