Daily Ayah ยท An-Nisa 4:135

Someone you love asks you to stay quiet about what you saw. You know the truth would hurt them, and you feel the pull to say nothing.

Being fair is easy when it costs nothing. This ayah speaks to the hard moment, when the truth is against you or someone close to you.

It begins with the word qawwam, which is not a simple word for 'be just'. It is a stronger form of the word.

Al-Saadi explains that this form is intensive: keep standing for justice in all your conditions. The ayah names the hardest cases, against yourself, your parents and your relatives.

Justice is a habit we practise, not a single brave moment. It grows in small honest choices long before the hard ones arrive.

Amal for today: Today, admit one small mistake of your own honestly, without making excuses.
