Daily Ayah ยท Al-Baqarah 2:152

You sit alone after a long day and quietly remember Allah. No one around you hears it, and no one else knows.

This ayah gives a simple instruction: remember Allah. Then it adds a promise attached to it, that He will remember you.

Al-Saadi explains that Allah promises the best reward for remembering Him, and that reward is His own remembrance of the one who remembers Him.

Ibn Kathir shares an authentic hadith: whoever remembers Allah within himself, Allah remembers him within Himself.

Whoever remembers Allah, He remembers in return. And whoever remembers Him in a gathering, He mentions that person in a gathering better than theirs.

So no quiet moment of remembering Allah is lost. This ayah promises that whoever remembers Him is remembered by Him in return.

Amal for today: Today, in a quiet moment, remember Allah in your own words.
